...And here we'll have the poetry. I'll keep some samples of my work here, --two written pieces, two audio clips (we're working on video clips)-- as well as a little background and insight into the poems. I'll also offer a few lines for visitors to compose their own poems (I'll post some of the work on the page). More details coming soon.

~ Expectations - I already tell the whole story about how this poem came about on the DVD, so I won't rehash it here. I will, however, thank and bless God and every poet that has inspired me, touched me, made me think, and made me want to write. It's for all of you. Check it out here.

~ Glass - Principally inspired by Sis. Sunni Patterson and Sis. Asali Devan, this poem is an attempt to illustrate why I write, and hopefully why we listen. The thing that keeps drawing me back to poetry is the way it changes my perspective, and shows me new ways to see and appreciate things. The words in this poem underscore why I still sit wide-eyed and listen intently at every venue. Something that somebody says that night is going to change the way I write for the better. If you wanna read it for yourself, click here.

Dirty Work
L. Edwards' debut audio offering combines most of the audio from the feature captured on From Darkness to Light with some less-heard work, creating an admittedly rough-but-intriguing listening experience.
